Lithuania is one of the most dynamic, high-growth markets in the European Union. So in this course paper I decided to shine a light on the Housing Market of this country.
The aim of this paper is to make an overview of Lithuanian Residential Real Estate Market.
The following tasks are to be solved in this paper:
• to analyze economic situation in the Republic of Lithuania
• to show the main trends on Housing Market in 2010
The Lithuanian republic is very close situated to the Russian Federation so I’m sure it will be useful to show main trends of the Housing Market in Lithuania in the years after the economic crisis of 2008-2009.
The European Real Estate market is recovering month by month and Lithuanian Real Estate Market is becoming the main goal for those who want to buy house or an apartment not only to live in the European Union but also to make a good benefit from selling property.
This paper based on the research made by Ober-haus Real Estate Agency. This research contains the main information and the last tendencies of the Lithuanian Residential Real Estate Market. I consider this research as the most appropriate one because the specialists of the Ober-haus Real Estate Agency are very competent in this question and the Ober-haus Real Estate Agency is the biggest agency in Lithuanian Republic.
Also there are 6 other sources which were used to help to make an overview of the country, the country’s economy and social aspects because I consider these aspects very important to everyone who wants to live or to have a property there.

I want to end this paper by repeating the main things.
Lithuania is one of the 3 Baltic states which situated on the easte
shore of the Baltic sea. Lithuania is rather big country according the European scales. It has a population of 3,349,900 people.
The economy of this country shows the recovery of 5-8 percent in different aspects. It means that the general conditions of living in Lithuania become better year by year. The GDP increased by 4.6 per cent. Growth in the gross value added was observed in industry, energy and trade, transport and communication. Export of goods, the main driver of the Lithuanian economy, has been showing much better figures than expected so it can guarantee the stability and wealth of the Economy of Republic of Lithuania.
In the year of 2010 the Lithuanian economy and The Real Estate Market had shown the biggest temps of recovering through the Baltic states and one of the most stable markets in the European Union.
According to the Real Estate agencies researches the main trend on the Housing market is stable house sales rising.
There is a slight decrease in constructing new houses. It’s connected with the builders’ expectation in changes on the New Homes Lithuanian Market. However 1,600 new homes were constructed in 2007-10 only in Vilnius.
Analysts predicting Lithuanian Real Estate market will develop effectively in 2011. Most of them claimed that all inte
ational real estate investors should invest their money in real estate in Lithuania now, or be disappointed later when they see others making huge profits.
