Introduction
World View is a very important notion, which helps to form the vision of the world and also serves as a guideline in the world.
The given graduation paper focuses on the World Model of Canadian political discourse. To be more exact it defines the notion of a world model and how it is reflected in Canadian political discourse. At the same time it also deals with the notion of political discourse and gives a cultural and linguistic overview of Canada in order to make the research more detailed and profound.
We will carry out our research on the material of major Canadian newspapers such as The Guardian, The Jou
al Pioneer and some others.
The choice of the topic for research was not accidental. There are few investigations on this theme even though it is very interesting and important. Political life is very complicated as some politicians struggle for power, other for the rights of the nation, the third ones have some other focus in their political work, they try to solve different intricate matters; then jou
alists review this process and present it in the mass media offering their interpretation of the problem. All those processes are reflected in the language and in the World model... (fragment)
