Russia is one of the most dynamic, high-growth markets in the world. So in this course paper I decided to debate the problems of inte
ational companies handling business in the Russian Federation.
The aim of this paper is to find out what these problems are and try to find solutions or give some recommendations.
The following tasks are to be solved in this paper:
• to analyze economic situation in the Russian Federation
• to define market opportunities in the Russian Federation for foreign companies
• to discuss the problems of inte
ational companies which are going to set up business in the Russian Federation
• to make a summary

ational companies can face problems with having business in the Russian Federation. The legislation in the field of small and medium-size business is not developed enough and also it needs reformation.

So I think it will be interesting to find out what problems face Inte
ational companies in Russia. In this paper I tried to discover whether problems are serious or not and to define how to deal with them.

Russia continues to be a major, fast-moving and growing economy offering opportunity and challenge in equal measure. Leading European companies, especially those from Germany, France, Scandinavia, and Turkey, are well-established in both consumer and industrial markets in Moscow and Saint- Petersburg and are branching out to the smaller regional cities.
There are lots of market opportunities for foreign companies in the Russian Federation. Russia is the largest country in the world by landmass so there is a place for companies to expand in future.
The aim of this paper was to define problems of inte
ational companies which are handling or going to handle business in the Russian Federation.

• Major barriers to the Russian market remain its different business practices and different language.
• Finding qualified local partners and Russian employees has become more difficult.
• Gove
ment bureaucracy, poorly established rule of law and corruption affect such areas as establishing a business, tax collection, dispute settlement, property rights, product certification and standards.
• Running a business can bring up the subject of the 'mafia'.
• If you want to settling the problems through a state court, but it can be long, unpredictable and rather pathetic.
• The search for office space can be also a troublesome.
• Negotiations with Russians can also be hard.

Summing up the results we can see that the problems of handling business in the Russian Federation exist and sometimes they can be quite serious.
To solve these problems foreign company needs to find a good Russian partner or to handle business with the help of specialized organizations which provide financial, legal and other kinds of support.
